What's Proposed?
The above-noted applications are to amend the City’s Official Plan and Zoning By-law No. 85 of 2002, to develop two 4-storey apartment buildings (32 residential units each for a total of 64 units) at the rear of the church building (north) of the site, which are currently vacant lands.
A decision to convert the existing two and a half (2.5) storey church (former Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Church) into a residential building or to maintain it as a place of worship has not been determined. However, they are asking that approval be granted to permit it to be used for residential purposes as an option.
