What's Proposed?
The City of Sarnia has received a complete application for a proposed Zoning By-Law Amendment (Application No. 6-2024) under Section 34 of the Planning Act.
The lands subject to this application are between East Street and Superior Street and comprise two lots, 799 London Road and 811 London Road (the “subject property”).
The purpose and effect of Zoning By-law Amendment No. 6-2024-85 of 2002 are to permit the development of two (2) new residential apartment buildings with a maximum height of 20.0m or 6-storeys on the subject property.
The proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to change the zoning of the:
799 London Road property from an Urban Residential 1 (UR1) Zone to an Urban Residential 5 (UR5-34(34) Site-specific Zone; and
811 London Road property from a Local Commercial 1 (LC1-13) Site Zone to an Urban Residential 5-34 (UR5-34) Site-specific Zone.
If approved, a subsequent site plan agreement will be required to implement the proposal.
