Monteith Brown Planning Consultants in partnership with City of Sarnia has completed a Draft Indoor Multi-Use Recreation Facility Feasibility Study and is hosting a virtual presentation/webinar to collect feedback from Sarnia residents and stakeholders. The Study outlines the key components of what it will take and what to consider with respect to a new indoor multi-use recreation facility for the City of Sarnia. Key components include a review and analysis of other similar facilities for context and scope, initial public feedback and input, trends and demographic review, recreational needs assessments, operating and capital cost considerations, operating model considerations, location criteria, and the associated ranking of potential locations.
All residents and community organizations were invited to participate in this study through the virtual presentation held on January 31, 2022.
Deadline for feedback on this project is now closed, and under review by staff. Written submission can be sent by email to parksandrecreation@sarnia.ca, or in hard copy to City Hall through the Christina St. Dropbox.
